Natalie Flores, a freshman at Bakersfield Independence High in California, placed second in the CIF Central Section Masters Division 3 girls cross country final at Woodward Park in Fresno. Flores covered the 5-kilometer layout in 19:15.44 to lead Independence to a 74-82 victory against Wasco to advance to the Division 3 state final Nov. 26 at Woodward Park.
